My Fireplace Update – Please!?
Hello! I'm redecorating my home's den and is affecting the color scheme. The / surround mantle is white and real fireplace is black which is fine. The problem is the area btwn surround and hearth. It is of white marble with gray streaks. A I really like mosaics of glass and thought it would be a great ideal to update the color of the fireplace to go with the color scheme. I've seen in the glass tile walls of the HGTV shows. My question is can you install glass mosaic tile on top of the marble?
I think it will be fine because it will give a good flat and stable base. I tiled my right on the brick fireplace and has worked very well.
