Can I install a pellet stove in a house with a water heating system of the boiler. Quad level house w / fireplace?
The house is a quad level with the fireplace on level 2. Our heat bills are high so I have to do something. I could well put the pellet stove insert in the fireplace or put a pellet stove in the basement and try to connect my system to heat hot water. It is possible for the pellet stove in the garage? I know nothing about these things. What about the cost – Should be able to stay under 3000 $? Could this heat the water heater?
The answer to your question is yes. The cost will depend on system you install, but must leave for less than $ 3,000.00. My sister and brother-in-law installed a unit of wood burning in his detached garage last fall. The garage is about 60 'of the house. They buried the circulation pipes and a heat exchanger attached to your forced air furnace. Add wood twice a day and have drastically reduced their natural gas bills utulity. They did the work themselves for under $ 1400.00. The best advice is that estimates of reliable contractors and check out their references before signing a contract.
