What is the best high temp mortar to use on a stone fireplace?
We have a sone masonary fireplace and are having trouble with the joining of the metal door assembly to the stone and mortar of the actual fireplace. Keeps cracking and fallin out. We have used several different types of mortar with no luck. Anyone help? Also where would we get the suggested mortar? thanks Ruth
as long as it is a refractory mortar you will be fine
