gas or electric fireplace

Would you install a gas or electric fireplace?
Electric: is efficient etc., No exterior vent needed, Cheap.
Gas: keeps you warm if there is a power outage, looks better, more heat.
Wood burning is not an option no chimney. I already have a Propane Foced air Furnance … So that would be the gas used with fireplace… So the fireplace itself is not the main source of heat. I also have in floor heat in the basement were the fireplace is located. This is mostly a visual thing, but since i live in North Dakota aka “the frozen tundra” when power does go out cause it happens atleast once or twice a winter the alternate heat source is the the pluz i am lookijgn 4 in a gas fireplace.
In my experience, gas is much better. I’ve sat in front of the electric ones and still needed a blanket. Gas just has more heat and is more realiable. It’s a little more work to have one, but worth the effort, plus it adds re-sale value to your home.
