LCD next to gas fireplace???

The fireplace in my home is placed caddy-corner in the living room. Currently, my LCD tv sits at eye-level in a space right next to the fireplace (there really is no other place to put it). I won’t use my fireplace because I am worried about the heat from the fireplace ruining my tv. Does anyone know of any kind of product out there that I could use to block the heat or direct it away from my tv or some kind of other solution? I love using my fireplace but I’m not willing to sacrifice my tv for it. HELP!
